I need to override the default taxonomy view with a view that displays a summary containing the child terms ( linked ) of the current term plus a count of the nodes tagged with each, divided into 2 unordered lists that I can then float side by side using css

The view needs to display all posts tagged with the current term or any child of the current term. I would prefer if the view retained the flexibility to choose the type of view displayed (list, table, teasers etc) but if that's too difficult i'd be happy enough with a teaser list.

What we need:

We need some drupal modifications done in the very near future on a freelance basis, its going to be around 1-4 weeks work (the scope for the job is'nt set yet but will be before you start) which you can either quote a fixed price for the whole job or fix down a weekly rate. You dont need to be in our office but you do need to be available till 14th december for iterations if needed. Last thing you will need to produce an invoice for the work if you want to get paid.

I am looking for a contractor who can design, build and implement my ideas for a community-matching site. I would like the project to be done within the next 30 to 45 days. Interested contractors should include their portolio of work, their rate and how they might approach the project.
This project has the opportunity to become a long term contract project.

I like the theme of http://www.madetostick.com/. I'd like to have something similar created, with the following differences:

- The color used should be blue instead of orange. Drupal blue is just fine. A gradient would be nice. Apart from that, I'll create the header content myself. I just want a base.
- Choice of 1 or 2 column themes, selectable for each page. The second column should be on the right of the main column.
- The menu bar (just under the large colored header) should use text instead of graphic images. ("Home", "The Book" etc. are graphics - I prefer text for ease of changes.)
- I'd like the large colored page header to display only on the main page or when selected. Otherwise a small top bar should display (about 20 pixels high).
- It would be nice if Holy Grail was used as a base. (http://drupal.org/project/holygrail) It's not necessary - I mostly want it to display well on all (or almost all) browsers. Technical elegance is a plus.

Also:
- Is there any way to turn off the details about the poster/time? This probably isn't a function of the theme, but I thought I'd ask. For example, most drupal.org posts show something like :
