I am looking to start a social networking site, and I want to drupal to be my front end, but I need a good social networking software with all the bells and whistles so I am going with Dzoic's Handshakes program. Handshakes is 99% open source php based. Basically what I am looking for is the ability for the two databases to be shared, so that logging into one logs you into the other. Also I need it to understand membership levels. I would appreciate any help with this. Let me list what I am looking for, each item should be taken as separate items and not be estimated together please.....
1. Database integration between the two programs as described above. Shared user account information including account levels.
2. Making drupal's homepage the default home page with links to Handshakes pages, also the ability to show info from Handshakes on the drupal home screen such as featured users, new blogs, what's happening in the chat, as well a drupal only things like auctions and Drigg articles.
3. Making drupal features available or visible in the handshakes program.
Blackbarn Media, a premier provider of custom web applications, Open Source content management system implementations, and high-end interactive and print design is seeking to expand our development team. We are looking for a full-time Drupal developer with a strong skill set in customizing modules. We're focused on one large roll-out right now, but also have many other ongoing projects utilizing Drupal and Joomla. The right candidate would assist with the large roll-out if they are senior enough or work with our smaller projects if they are junior level.
I am using i18n. My website (www.nonviolentpeaceforce.org) is in English, French and Spanish. Menus in English and French are working well. But for Spanish the menus are not expanding. I do not want to expand the menus in advance (manually) because the menu structure is too long that would not look good.
I checked the sitemap and it seems to be fine.
I am looking for an expert who can solve this problem. This association could be long term because we have long plans with Drupal.
I have been servicing a non-profit association of medical professionals for the last couple of years....I think it is time to convert over to Drupal...but, want to pay a pro who has a decent portfolio to guide me through the process. The key issues must be:
Client must be able to upload stock tab-delimited text file (database) from national association and easily upload to site. This is the core database of membership. The output but be customized....I assumed this is called a module.
Hello... I've been reading up on Drupal and have come to the conclusion that Drupal is the solution for me. I have 2 sites that I have hard coded from scratch and I'm wishing to develop them with a better framework (ie. Drupal). The only catch is that I do not know enough about Drupal to get this thing going.
I consider myself a pretty advanced developer, but getting this project started has been pretty daunting as I have not had any help to get it going. I'm willing to pay for help.. (I cant break the bank for development but I will take good care of the person who gets me going).
The first site that I must convert to Drupal is my site www.partychaser.com - in addition I need to bring over the current user data and provide pretty much all of the features and look and feel that I current have on the site. The theme doesnt have to be exactly the same but somewhat close. I have a guy working on a new theme for the site and he should be done with the photoshop file sometime soon. (we'll need to convert the photoshop to drupal theme also).
The second site is www.dallaspeeps.com by which i created in 2001 and still has active traffic. I want to move this site to drupal and also move the members to the site. This transition currently is not as important as the one for partychaser.com
