Drupal 4.7.x

This is probably something fairly obvious, but I haven't been able to wrap my head around it..

I have a form on every page of my site consisting of four pulldowns and a "submit" button. I need to take those form values, do a database query based on the values, and then present a search result page. Sounds easy, and something that should be possible, but I can't figure out how to do it. The weak link for me is how to get info from a form_submit() function to a MENU_CALLBACK callback function (ie a path like /node/searchresult).

I found this support dicussion...http://drupal.org/node/169001, but after trying the suggestions there I still can't get my site back. Usually I can figure problems out but this one is serious! I'm not getting anywhere and I am desperate! I created a new block with the php code and now I've got a fatal error. My site is ridestory.com. Please, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have a drupal insallation where node addition is available to anonymous users.
The admin then approves or rejects the node.
I want put in Captcha into the "node add" form. For this i have already installled Captcha and Recaptcha but and enabled them.
Ive taken the API keys for recaptcha and inpt them in recaptcha settings also. What next?? How do i add the captcha to me "Add node" form now?
Please help.

I am in the process of trying to figure out what the best way to convert from wordpress to drupal. I have done this in the past one time and I used http://www.borber.com/en/projects/wp2drupal that plugin. Last time I used it, it worked great. But when I did it, it was a blog with like 30 posts.

Whats the best way to convert 40,000 posts as I think my server would time out or something would happen. Is there anyway to convert everything locally like on my computer?

I just upgraded from 4.6 to 5.2(i think) i followed all the correct steps, ran upgrade.php and updated all the modules with no errors. Almost everything is working, but some nodes are coming up completely blank. All the CCK Field data is gone. When it was installed in 4.6 i did use node revisions from time to time. Looking into the Database all the content is still there, the correct nid and vid are associated -- it just doesn't want to show up.

also some node types are blank, others are not. One nodetype has the 10 most recent created nodes blank, the rest are fine.
