Drupal 4.7.x

This is very strange... I'm administrator of a drupal site... and everytime I enter to administration to change something, then after a minute I see in the recent log entries an annonymous user (IP from google inc) trying to acces the same pages I accessed from the administration..
of course it gives an access denied to google robot... but this is annoying me... eating bandwidth, cpu and for what? for nothing...

also... worries me.. why google look at pages I visit 1 minute ago all the time ? spy?

I have a site that has been setup but the developer quit. I already have the design for it but I am getting some errors. I also need the newletter module finished and some other odds and ends. I would like to get it finished up sooner than later. I would like someone reliable. Email me if you know how to customize and trouble shoot drupal well.

When a user enters their username or password wrong, the "Sorry, unrecognized username or password. Have you forgotten your password?" error message is displayed below my mission statement. When this message is displayed it isn't that obvious. I would like to move it above me mission statement but I am not sure how to do so. Can someone please help me out?

Drupal 4.7.10 and 5.5 are now available for download. These are maintenance releases that fix a critical problem introduced with the fix to SA-2007-031.

The critical bug causes taxonomy term-based RSS feeds to be empty. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Upgrading your existing Drupal sites is recommended.

Hello,

I wanted to get your opinions on developing/updating my Drupal site locally and synching to the live server. I use Xampp to install my Drupal site on my local computer. I do my development locally because it is much faster, especially working with Views, forms...etc.

How do you folks then synch the updates to the live server? I think every single time uploading the whole database is too much. Is there a better way?

I have an onload function for nifty in my general.tpl.php file. i am also using collapse.js for some tree menus as well as the default collapsible menus on edit page etc. my problem is that if the inline javascript is enabled (nifty onload function), the collapsible tree menu links do not appear. if i disable javascript (comment out the onload function), it works fine. does anyone have any idea on why is this happening and what could possibly solve this ?
