From Custom to Drupal

Hi all,

I currently run a custom coded recipe website, which I built a few years ago. I’m in the process of testing out Drupal, as a CMS to rebuild on. I am however new to Drupal so I’m just getting my head around the best way to create the website and position some of the data. I have a few questions. Please excuse my lack of knowledge on some parts.

Getting "Not found , The requested URL /mysuburl was not found on this server." after migrating

Hi , I just migrated my site to a new host and domain provider . I copied the files , set my db and changed settings.php . the front page loads well and without problem but every link I try to load I get 404 error . I searched for a solution and I searched for tables with name cache in my db and TRUNCATed those tables but I'm still getting the error .

user generated content

Hi everyone,

I would like to convert over to drupal or any cms system really but I have a few questions. I have developed a classifieds site (its not live yet). It does not have very good CSS, but I have developed the php portion quite well. I'm still busily working on the jQuery as well. Now my question is since my site will be a user content generated site is drupal compatible. More specifically would I be able to switch over quickly and easily. Will I be able to allow others to manage it etc. Thanks in advance
