Updating Wordpress migration utility for 4.7

I really need to import my four years of Wordpress entries to Drupal 4.7 asap. The migration script (http://lsb.blogdns.net/pages/wordpress-migration-utility) only imports to Drupal 4.6, and unfortunately importing and then upgrading isn't really an option at this point in the game, after I've been developing the 4.7 site for a month. I tried using node_import, which works, but it seems like a much messier solution for a specific need.

Convert 1256 Encoding to UTF-8

Hi there,

I'm migrating from phpBB 2.0 to Drupal 7.4. I'm using phpbb2drupal and it looks work. But since my site is in Arabic (1256 character set), I get a strange characters.

Is there any php script to convert tables in 1256 encoding to UTF-8 without exporting/importing data?

Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for a module similar to post\phpnuke's downloads module (example at http://www.whatsup.org.il/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=ind...)

Thank you for your time and effort,
Omri.

TWiki converter?

Has anyone created or is working on a TWiki specific converter? That is take TWiki code and convert it for Drupal?

I did a search in the Converting to Drupal and did not find an instance.

Thanks much!
Mark
