I am just struck with the problem that I important a ton of content into my drupal 4.7,
taxonomy works, node works, everything...
(the import was done via a bunch of sql scripts)
- but now I enabled the excerpt module and want to autogenerate the excerpts that are usually
generate with the "edit" function
- also I'd like to apply another input filter (textile) to all the nodes
Does anyone have an example php or mysql script that can create everything that is need to make a new node work properly with when using Drupal 4.7? The new vid column is breaking all of my previous methods for direct importing of content. I can get the content out of the various custom apps without too much pain, just getting into drupal is causing problems.
We are testing to convert to drupal from an outdated phpnuke. An up to date version of phpnuke would be the best and an easy way. But we like to give drupal a chance.
We importet over 6000 nodes, over 1000 users and much more with a sql import. And we changed the obvious node number to the new value. In vain. When we try to save a new posting we get something like:

I am setting up a new Drupal based site and presently our company is hosting its forums on Groupee. I have been looking and I have not found good info on exporting forums from groupee. Has anyone migrated forums from groupee to drupal. Any help would be appreciated. Has anyone migrated from groupee to another format then is then easily imported into drupal?
I have a 3 column page. The center column is text. The two outer columns are to be blogs. Is it possible to show blogs from two different posters on the same page?
How do I progress? Do I have to make two duplicate blog and blog api mods and add additional tables to the database?
I am a developer working on designing / developing a website. Currently, I have taken the task to design a modular framework, on which we will build (and allow others to build) modules to add new features to this website. The application is not intended for widespread public use, but for a specific purpose in the academic world. I have no experience in developing frameworks for modular design, which is why I do not feel confidant enough to design/develop one myself.
What I would like to know is if drupal would be able to support the hacking/development of the following:
