Converting to Drupal

I have been trying to use drupal for about a year now and I will admit that I am pretty dense when it comes to database management but I have to really scratch my head when I see people say how great drupal is. It makes me wonder if that is just some drupal engineer logging fake posts because to me it is full of bugs, with practically no support and which requires a PHD in database management to do the simplest things.

I sincerely dont mean to post this to cause trouble. I realize it's free and you get what you pay for I guess and I am sure if I did have a PHD in content management then it would be a great system as it is powerful, but it is irksome that all over this board I see people say how simple it is to use which is incredibly misleading... WMD in Iraq has more credibility for me at this point and I dont mean to be a troublemaker honestly but I do feel decieved because I have wasted nearly a year of my life 20-30 hours a week trying to figure this thing out and now that I upgraded to the new version everything went haywire and now I cant even login or play videos.

But as I said I am not meaning to just post to criticize and I was just wondering if anyone knew of any alternative to drupal specifically with regards to handling video or even just a good aggregator I could switch to that is actually as advertised. I would genuinely be very appreciative of any advice anyone has to offer.

I was just wondering how I could shut off comments for pages,but leave them on for posts. Thanks. any help appreciated.

I want to convert my HTML pages into Drupal content, one by one. I don't need to migrate CSS, themes, or the layout. Just the way my existing pages appear as a result of their HTML. I read in another thread that using FCKEditor or Web Developer with Firefox makes this process easier but noone explains how. I'm missing the connection there. I mean it isn't possible to just insert HTML into a drupal page or story?

I install drupal and now import_html for import the html pages of mysite but when i goes to module to
activete the import_html following massage/error diplay on the top of the window

Includes /home/acenet/public_html/drupalacenet/modules/import_html/coders_php_library/tidy-functions.inc

plz help to fix this problem, i use cvs version of import_html ,and drupal version is 4.7

2)How to develop new site using drupal ,give the steps to do this ,or suggest documentation for referance
