I just gave up on Joomla! A great steaming pile of cards threatening collapse at the slightest movement in the undergrowth, if you ask me; and Drupal seems refreshingly clear, straightforward and solid in comparison.
But I digress. It was probably the silly way of doing it, but I brought across my several dozen articles from Joomla to Drupal using tried and true cut-and-paste methods, which has worked mostly fine, except that (of course) all my cross-article links are wrong, with URLs pointing nowhere in particular.
I need to reproduce a large static web site hierarchy in Drupal. The current site consists of numerous primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary pages.
Admittedly all of my time with Drupal up to now has been spent writing dynamic custom business and data modules for my clients and I am a novice when it comes to setting up Drupal web sites containing primarily static pages.
