I'm new to Drupal, and most definitely not a programmer (perhaps 'enlightened user' might be more accurate). Successfully installed 6.2, and am now in the process of trying to migrate 5 years of posts, comments and associated images from a Movable Type 2.64 blog over. I'm not worried about the theme, I'm fairly confident I can figure that out later. What I'm worried about is the data.
I'm going to try converting a very large (2,400 articles) Textpattern site to Drupal, and it doesn't seem like there's an available script to do the job. That's fine - the TXP site has a fairly customized content layout which I would need to hack into such a script anyway - but I also can't figure out what's the standard vector to programmatically creating new nodes. It'll need to be a way in which I can also set extra fields and node status, etc., and something that's fast (2,400 nodes * 1 second = 40 minutes to convert).
Our research group website www.pats.ua.ac.be is currently running a homegrown set of scripts and we would like to migrate to Drupal. Layout is not a problem, functionality is.
Hello everyone,
I am creating my own social networking site using Drupal and was wondering which version of Drupal is best for me? I am really interested in all the modules and I would like Drupal to support them all or at least most. Which version of Drupal is best for me???
Hi. I'm very new to this. I have a website that accesses our MySQL DB to display very specific information about music videos that we offer as content. For example, http://blanktv.com/music.php
I'm wondering how to best change over to Drupal, yet keep this content.
