I have a website which I originally created using Dreamweaver. Attached to that website is a sql database of over a thousand names and addresses, etc. I would like to know how to transfer the original database to a new drupal 6 website so I can used and access this information through the views module in drupal. Does each piece of information in the original database convert into individual nodes once transferred? I hope someone can help me with this. If you need more information please don't hesitate to let me know.
Hello all! I work for a medium-sized vegetarian restaurant. I have been charged with digitizing and uploading my companies handbooks, manuals and documentation onto our website. I have decided to go with Drupal and I am wondering what experience people have had with converting to Drupal with this kind of content. I have a ton of word docs, excel spreadsheets and some PDFs. The upper-ups want everything to be downloadable in PDF, and I have to make sure that users only have access to appropriate content. Which plug ins do y'all recommend?
I have a large community site on DF, 10k users, 75k posts, couple of gigs of photos albums, stories/news, tech docs...etc. DF isn't being kept up like it should, getting stale so I'm looking to make a change to a more supported cms platform.
I have Drupal setup on a subdomain today but it looks like the instructions at http://drupal.org/node/71856 aren't complete.
When I try to set the prefix on the db section of the phpBB2Drupal settings I get:
This is not a conversion from another software Drupal, but a straight out issue with migrating one Drupal site to a new one. I have set up my site entirely on the web, without using a local dev environment. It uses view module extensively. Recently I decided to set up a local dev environment to test new features, and I set up the server, Drupal, and finally imported the data dump using the Backup and Migrate module.
I'm running Drupal on another site of mine and prefer it more. However I need to convert my site so that I have all the same features including:
1. Profiles with customs fields
2. A searchable member list - where members can search for other members based on the information in those custom profile fields
3. Profiles that contain multiple user uploaded images of themselves.
4. Member video gallery
