URL redirect

I have a client that wants her old website converted into drupal. However, she told me that people have certain pages bookmarked. Obviously she doesn't want those links to be broken. Is there a module that would allow me to put in the old URL to redirect to the new one without the user knowing?

Thanks,

Eric

secundairy links

Hello,

I'm new to Drupal and tried to create my first website. I've created primary and secundairy links. the primary links are in the left part of the site. The secundairy links are in then foot of the webiste, but for some reason I don't find the way to have the menu items listed in a horizontal way. As i see the examples of the template they look good. In my site, the menu items are listed under each other. Is there a way to configure wether the menu is build horizontal or vertical. It's probaly something simple, but I cannot find it.

S.

are there any other popular forums for converting to drupal?

Wondering if there are other popular forums I can post to as sometimes I do not get replies in this forum. Thanks

Any documentation to explain how drupal actually builds an html form?

For example, something that explains the components such as drupal_get_form and related functions which ultimatey buildout the complete form. I am looking for something that explains the steps, how the form elements go from data stored in an array to the html output...

I am familiar with some of the hooks for providing drupal with the form information, text box, text area, checkbox.. etc, now I would like to see how drupal processes this information to generate its output.

Thanks

"Bad Request" and "Forbidden" errors

Yesterday I went to a client's site to demo a theme I'd made for them based on a design they provided. When we were looking at it, we encountered "Bad Request" or "Forbidden" errors every time we submitted a form through the site. Some of the forms worked, but many did not. For example, logging in would generate a "Bad Request" error, but then you actually would be logged in and could proceed. Similarly, you could create new content without problems. But any time we tried to change settings in the admin section, we'd get either "Bad Request" or "Forbidden" and the changes would not be made. I've never seen anything quite like it, but it rendered the site more or less unusable. There were no errors in the Drupal logs related to the errors, and I haven't got access to the server logs to check them (yet -- the sysadmin is in Hawaii on vacation for the next week).

It was also profoundly embarrassing. Why is it that the worst screwups ALWAYS happen during demos?

Anonymous are allowed to post content on Drupal?

Hello everybody,
I'm using Joomla for my website but unfortunatly I discovered that in Joomla Anonymous user cannot post content, the have to register before... My aim is to creat a easy fast user generated content, is Drupal right to do this? Any suggestion is really appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
Nicolò
