Need to do a site in Drupal, but the template that I bought (I bought it) the home page defaults to display the most current posting.

NEED, very much the same cause the index is static with texts that I chose, and positions that I set, not that it defines Drupal

How do I do that?

Please help me, this work is very important.

after converting want to find metadata (keywords)

After successful converting from Joomla to Drupal, I need to find metadata of former Joomla Articles, now Stories in Drupal.
In Joomla I used FJ Related Module to tag articles for specific searches, now I guess it will be taxonomy, but first I have to find the meta keywords of all the converted articles. Tried several modules without luck, and just don't feel like to do the extracting meta keywords again for several thousands of pages/stories.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Attempt at migrating live Drupal site to local ends in WSOD (White Screen of Death)

Hey everyone,

New to this forum, so I'm hoping this threads in the right section. Please don't shoot me.

I have a client thats in a bit of a sticky situation. He has a rather rough ecommerce website thats currently taking order, which is based on Drupal and Ubercart that needs to be updated rather quickly.

The sites live and taking orders, so really need to setup a local server to test out the changes.

I cleared the cache, backed up the database and files, setup the site locally and all I' am getting now is a blank screen of death.

I found this page http://drupal.org/node/158043 and have tried the following:

- Checking for Invisible Errors. (Nothings apart from a few lines of HTML are outputted)
- Log Files. (Nothing from before March sometime)
- Servers running PHP 5.3.1.
- Output buffering. (Nothing)
- Clearing the Cache table.
- Adjusting the PHP memory limits.
- Changing the include paths.

I also tried, disabling modules and themes to see whether I get any sort of out.

Upon disabling the Zen theme, I get some simple output. A logo image, the menu bar, a few node form fields, etc. I have tried rebuilding the theme registry. Moving the Zen folder, rebuilding, etc. I don't get too much further then the basic logo image, menu bar.

I'll be getting stuck back into the site tonight. At the moment I'am looking at any other possible solutions.

Automated Legacy Photo Migration

Alright,

My very first Drupal post! I have spent the last few weeks creating a Drupal based website for a company I work for. This company is migrating from a ground built CMS based on ColdFusion. This CMS was built up from the late 90s, and the code base is showing it's age.

Drupal custom content type

Hello,

I've been trying to convert my website into drupal lately, and I'm almost done. But I have a problem:

- I made my custom theme and a custom content type and made a file to let the content type show up correctly, but the thing is that I don't have a nice edit page for it. How can I customize it?

I've heard of files like node-home_page-edit.tpl.php or something

Thanks in advance,

Hidde Lycklama

porting data from tikiwiki to drupal

Hello,
In these days i'm considering switching my forum from tikiwiki to drupal.
The problem is that i have a lot of information which i want to preserve (content, user accounts, permissions, etc...).
After searching the forum I didn't find a stasifying answer which can tell me what is the easiest way to do a migration like this without porting all the data manually.
Can anyone tell me what is the easiest way to do this or someone has a script which do this quickly and easily?

Thanks,
Eran Kuchuk
