Book of nodes for customized Proposals.

I am not sure if I should try doing this in D6 or D7, but thinking that this might be interesting to try both ways.
I want to create a customized proposal system for an Industrial Construction Project. Naturally, we don't want competitors to see what we are doing, but we are also looking for a way to setup formal proposals in a template solution.

We begin with a template, probably a template of a book.

In each book section the author can attach references to other nodes.

The finished Book would be en entire node that we could invite Prospects to see.

Just an outline:
Section Intro, would include an NDA that the client would have to agree with. Just not to show it to competitors.
section one would be a proposal outline with details
Section Two would include all details to qualify to compete on the project.
Section Three would include Nodes of past projects that we have done

I would also want the project to have limited access to just prospects, and probably time limited as well. So we can send an invitation to a prospect to view the project, but no one else except for internal people can view it. Then use time or limit viewing by IP address or something like that.

My thoughts on doing this would include:
- A Single domain, and assign Books to users. But need to get the right Modules for this.

How to convert medium sized static website (600+ pages) to a drupal site?

Hello drupal experts, I have a health website http://healthy-ojas.com/ which is a static website with 600+ pages, now I decided to convert it to CMS.

I searched for the best CMS and finally decided to go with drupal, because even if it has long learning curve it has many advantages such as security, possible to expand to any direction, technically sound and experts (your) support.

Because I am very new to drupal, I not have any idea how to start with. I request you to visit my site it has diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, eye and sleep topics. As a static site I have all nodes (pages) regarding diabetes into the folder diabetes, cholesterol pages on cholesterol folder and so on. Also if open the diabetes page, the left navigation contains menus for the diabetes pages only and the top navigation (primary navigation) contains links to all the categories (diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, eye and sleep). Footer contains navigation to other pages such as about us, contact us, disclaimer, friends sites, etc.

Drupal and osCommerce

Hi all,

I've got a challenge on my hands;

1) 200+ sites running osCommerce
2) Custom module to import/export to/from osCommerce and a number of vendor applications
3) A large chunck of the sites needs / wants a CMS.

I've been 'playing' with the legacy osCommerce module for Drupal - and I'm looking for
some advice from anyone who has successfully integrated Drupal and osCommerce.
By successfully I mean within the same browser session - not simply opening another
tab/window when accessing the shop....

Would this be possible?

I have been struggling the last few days, searching for ways to covert html to drupal. After tons of tries (and failures) and google searches, tutorials, and videos. I decided to ask first if the design was possible at all.

The problems I encounter when "converting" (or trying to) is that images do not appear, even if they are linked right in the css (most of the css classes do appear, but never background images etc.)

This is the site ->
