Converting to Drupal

Hi all in Drupal world,

Im sure that i will be posting in the wrong spot and someone somewhere has already asked something like this before....

But.....

I used to use gallery2 to show off what stuff i had. Video, sound, gifs, jpegs and even word and powerpoint docs.
But i after a while, i found this didnt suite the way that i really want to do it.

I'm running a website built in Coldfusion with lots of custom reports. Because MOST of the content is basic text it was decided to switch to Drupal (a move I support). I want to fold the reports into Drupal so that we don't have two separate platforms serving the same website.

I was wondering if someone could point me to a place where I can find a comparison of Drupal features versus Wordpress features.

I have built a small website - http://BestHypnotherapistinMelbourne.com.au with Wordpress. Before I put too much more effort into it I wanted to check if Drupal is a better long term solution.

I have a blog on wordpress.com site. It has 3 PR i don't want to loose that 3 PR site. And i would love to convert it into drupal. How I can do that??

Hi,

I've got a custom php website I wish to migrate to drupal.
Most of it is an image gallery.
I need a way to bulk migrate the image files to nodes.
The images files are sorted in folders by categories.

Hey folks,
I'm about to install a few modules to a page running drupal 6.26. Therefore I want to setup a local testing envoirement to my local machine before doing any changes to the live page.

I installed XAMPP and have created a new Webpage. This could be overritten.

On my local machine I'm running drupal 7.

What is the best way to do that?

It's my first time working on drupal.
