I want to do a moviedatabase with cck and...

Hi, I have a problem with CCK.
I want to create a database-style imdb.com.
I have created a content CCK with all fields (director, actors, script, etc.).

listing all user-specific content

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone knows a way to create a list of all the content each user has uploaded on the site within their profile (or on a user page)
ie. so each user is allowed to upload images, video, events, etc. But i want all of the content they have uploaded to various categories to also be listed and linked to their individual page....
any help much appreciated!

User Specific Database Problem

Hi all,

a little background info before i jump into the problem.

I'm working on a multi-site, using drupal 5.3 but upgrading to drupal 6 upon the official release and module updates. The site is a newspaper/media collection of websites. it's not that important what the sites are about since it can be about anything. so on one site it will be a pro journalistic content, another site or subdomain with user generated content, another site for videos like youtube, and another for music and photos. each site operates on it's own and has its own managers and content providers.

to make a long story short, we have all these sites, but we are planning on making another site that is entirely about the user, so in order to view the content on all the other sites you can have register on this site, we want the database kept separate of the content and other site related info... this database only has the user info... we're building a lot of other tables and fields on the user db along with several modules that would harness the power of these new tables and feed them into the other sites (this module along with several others in the works will be released as contributed modules)

Assigning users as moderators for specific forum topics or containers?

I am launching a Drupal-based site for a community of specialized IT consultancies. We are trying to get our forums established, but have chosen to have forums moderated by one or two users with recognized expertise within the specific forum topic/container. Is it possible to enable users to moderate certain forum topics/containers without granting them rights to moderate ALL forums? If so, how? If not, any creative ideas for accomplishing the objective?

Using rolesignup, I want to allow users to edit only their page

I have the rolesignup mod. I created an Artist role with edit own story and page permissions. I don't want them to be able to create anything, just edit their page that's already been created for them. The site is designed around artists each having one page, categorized by instrument. Using a profile or blog in this manner would not be part of the main site. Is there a way to link the artist to his content only for editing purposes? I can do it manually as artists sign up to edit their page.

organising content types

how can you create content types and designate where they will go automatically when a user uploads content. for example, how would you specify that in an 'event' content type that the event will then appear under the 'events' heading etc.? the only way i can work out how to do this is manually each time you upload the actual content, but i cannot find a way to pre-determine where each type of content will go.... any suggestions?
thanks!
