I'm new here, so please excuse me. I am making a web site for gamers (kinda like G4's ATOS but in a website form). I haven't done much too it, just made the homepage, no links, no other pages. Now, I have worked with Microsoft FrontPage, and that is what I am using. I can not afford anything better at the moment, and I am really tying to make a great site.

I'm using drupal for my community. And I have just customizing my site.
I made a new role with a speficied access. Now, there are 3 (three) roles on my drupal site --> anonymous, authenticate and FRIEND.
My own role, I name it woth FRIEND.
The problem is, if there is/are new user register to my drupal site, I want them to be in FRIEND role.
How can I set it?

What is the state of development?

Besides that from what I can see in the code and changelog - what are the current problems, what is the roadmap, what do you wish to do, what would you like to have done ...

How deep is the implementaion of "groups"? What can a group have / do and what not?

I read in http://drupal.org/node/183245 that there are some issues with privat groups... is there are solution for this on the horizon?

regarding docs i would like to ask: is there a clear definition of what groups should do and what not?

Also I would like to read something about the design related to drupal core, to get an understanding for what will and what will never be possible.

How about experiences with other modules, what are the biggest problems there?

Some more questions:

- can groups have their own (private) taxonomy?
- can groups have private nodes?
- can groups have public nodes?
- how well is this integrated with forums?
- is there anything that enables groups to VOTE for a node to change from private to public?
(is this even possibole with current drupal core implementation?)
- can groups have group calendars with privat and public events?

I'm trying to make the width of the title field and textarea field that is displayed when replying to or creating a post in UIE Forum smaller.

Does anyone know where/what file creates the html table code that the fileds are nested in, or does anyone know how to make the imput fields thinner? CSS doesn't want to do it for me...

I'm building a website for my fraternity and have run into a rather large snag. It seems that for Drupal 4.7.x the OG/OGForums/OG2list combination works wonderfully for forum posting and commenting (without having to add all sorts of tid: nid: lines like in maillist). I, however, have built my site in Drupal 5.x for the increased security and multimedia functionality and og2list doesn't work in 5.
