Deprecated - Social software and communities

Hi ......I am very new to Drupal so I ask for your patience in advance. I am working on a magazine site and on the home page there is an "articles" button which brings you to a page that has all articles listed. I would like to create a table of contents page that would be a secondary link to the articles button so that we can sort the articles into categories...I imagine multiple links that are subs to the secondary link. Does anyone have ideas and how can I do this.....thank you in advance!

I've installed the user relationship module and enabled UR-API, U-Blocks, UR-Defaults, UR-Elaborations, UR-Implications, UR-Mailer, UR-Node Access, UR-UI

Then went to User management-Relationships and added type:

ADD TYPE
Name:Friend
Plural:Friends
Yes to Requires approval
Request expires in 10 days

IN SETTINGS:
Checked all under general

IN PERMISSIONS
enabled:
User_relationships_api module
can have relationships

User_relationships_ui module
maintain own relationships
view user relationships

I am a master student from London South Bank University in the United Kingdom. I am doing a research on one specific aspect of Drupal.

In essence my study is about assessing ways in which Drupal can be used to provide various kind of social networking functions since it wasn't primarily designed for that purpose.

Please tell us how you think this great content managemnt system ( CMS) can also provide social networking capabilities (features).

In order to help us answer the above question it would be extremely helpful to have the views of Drupal users like yourself.

I am using gigya module in my drupal site for login from facbook account. I have configured all things properly.Its working for me.There are 2 issue for me.
1. I want to change my flash facebook icon at login page,how i can change this flash icon.

I have been reading many forums here to try and find a straight solution that will help me, and it would seem there is no real solution so Im asking for help and Im hoping to get a answer that works.

I installed Forum Access Mod and the ACL Mod, I then had a message telling me to rebuild the permissions. I clicked on the button to do so, after HOURS, It has come up as a http error, If I remember the number was 12002. I tried this about three times each time it told me there was an error.

Arrghhheverything was sorking fine till I installed them.
