For the life of me i cant figure out what is going on. it used to work just fine (allbeit slow). but now whenever i launch my xampp server it works, but the moment i try to access drupal it kills my server instantly and i cant bring it back up unless i restart the server.
i tried installing xampp on other location (followed the proper install procedure) and drupal kills xampp there too.
i tried installing wamp and drupal is lightning fast on wamp as i'ver never seen drupal so fast before.
can some one with experience or interest in this explain what is going on?
I have been aproached by a relative to do a wesite for him complete with shopping cart. Fortunately (or not) he will only be accepting PayPal on his site. On the down side I have never done an eCommerce site before so I too am treading new waters. I am looking to put up a drupal 5 site with the eCommerce 3 module to handle the store front. I have been looking at dreamhost, directnic and 1and1 as the list of hosts. So far dreamhost seems to be the popular choice here. My question is this:
"Great news for all those one-click installer release addicts (we understand, we’re hooked as well)…Wordpress (2.1.2), Drupal (4.7.6) and ZenCart (1.3.7) are now ready…get your fix in the Account Center."
Is there any trusted free hosting company that supports Drupal?
I have found some free hosting company that installs drupal through script installers, but they had outdated drupal support.
I don't need automatic installers, but the requirements for Drupal.
I made a site on Drupal (my first one) and now I want to host it on Orange. I have a interenet connection there, end I got 20 mb hosting space with it. Now is my question: Witch file should I upload so I can see my Drupal site?
I'm interested in knowing what most Drupal Users look for the most when searching for a hosting company, besides the usual disk space, bandwidth and price of course. It is always interesting to know what goes behind the thinking of drupal users when looking for new hosting so we can add additions to our hosting services as well!
