Host for Drupal+Ubercart

Hi all,

I'm a Drupal newbie and I'm starting to work on a new site using Drupal plus the Ubercart module (plus all the modules it requires of course). I'll need to use a photo gallery module and news/press type of module eventually as well. The site will only have a handful of products, 4-5 to start, maybe up to 20-30 down the road. I expect 10-30 orders per day.

Anyone Hosting with Shaw Cable?

I have a client who currently uses Shaw Cable (shawcable.net) to host their website and will soon be moving them to a Drupal 6.x site. I wanted to know if anyone out there has had any good/bad experiences running Drupal on Shaw's servers. Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks.

Redirecting subdomains to base URL

I have some technical questions about creating subdomains.
Basically i have one website setup using drupal. If i then create a subdomain for that site such as test.example.com/ and use the same ftp account as the example.com, where will go to upload the files? Also since i am using the same ftp account as main domain, i assume i will be using the same database.

Amazing Host for Drupal

Hi I've read the posting rules and I hope this isn't considered spam. I noticed that there are many in search of a good Drupal host so I thought that I would share with you a little about www.DixelHost.com while we wait to here back for our request to be added to the Drupal Service Provider Page.

Warn the Drupal users from Midphase/Anhosting

Midphase and all their affiliates BLOCK port 80 and Drupal cannot use update status module and therefore you cannot normally update/check against vulnerabilities.

After couple of months (now you cannot cancel the payed hosting) I was in a situation that if I wanted use update status module i became a message:

Unable to fetch any information about available new releases and updates.

Searching Drupal forum I found topics about HTTP request fails (about HTTP request fails module, solving problem with Midphase in January 09 ...), but at this time all solutions failed.

Hello,

I apologize but your server is now blocking outbound port 80 which is the port HTTP requests are made on. This is because of security vulnerabilities involved with this. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to assist you. Thank you.
