Hosting support

Hi,

I'm new to Drupal, and currently developing my very first website using Drupal 7.0.

When I started to check out some web hosting solutions, I came across this problem of which will be the best solution to support Drupal 7.0?

Details of my Website -
It's a Photography Website, with Image gallery for starters! Might have a little bit of embedded jquery, but that might also be Phase-II.
That being the case, I don't need real huge amount of space right away, I can do with little space as well, since as I grow, I'll take up more space with time.

Some Web Hosting solutions I've checked out, based on Google -
1. HostGator - Some reviews say, it's the best for Drupal 7.0, is that so? It's slightly on the higher side - $5+ for every month for 1 yr Subsr.

2. BlueHost & JustHost - again, seems good from reviews - cost is average.

3. GreenGeeks - Something Drupal.org community supports? Haven't checked it out yet.

4. Whois & Godaddy - Basically domain sites, but they offer hosting solutions too. Cheap

5. Maiahost - Unknown solution, just landed there by chance.

Finally, what's the few things I'll need to keep in mind for my web hosting, especially, since it's going to have high res images, do I mainly look for higher bandwidth & data transfer options against space?

I am about to build a SNS site, and may choose one of the following:

GreenGeeks 512MB VPS
HostGator Level2 VPS

And I am a little bit lost here. Any suggestions on how to choose between those two will be very much appreciated.

I plan to build a multilingual SNS website with drupal 6.20. It will utilize the following modules:

views, cck, imagecache, organic groups, ctools, panels, and more

So my question is:

1) Do I need the VPS plan for this purpose?
2) What will be the recommended memory/disk space for this purpose?
3) Which host company is recommended.

I have no idea about the hosting, and all your suggestions will be very appreciated.

I’m trying to create a REST Server that will allow a java Client application(Netbeans) to communicate with it. I'm a beginner and I just wanted to find out if anyone can give me a simple step by step example of how to create the server.

Can anyone help me? I am using drupal 7,danland theme and i wanted to add to add more pictures to the slideshow. so i edited the page.tpl.php, added my images to the slideshow folder and it worked. Now i can not even access all my other menus and pages on the website except my home page. Can anyone help me please, i am just new to drupal 7.

I am trying to setup my site, and got confused by "Unlimited Emailbox" feature provided by some hosting companies.

For example, if my domain name is www.example.com

Does that mean, I could have unlimited number of email account like:

***@example.com
