How do i import my own .po language and apply it to my site.

Arabic

Hi,

One day I went to check the site and the language was gone, I spoke to the admins but no one did anything so I think my site may of been hacked.

Anyhow, www.biblicalmission.com is the website and the arabic used to work but now it doesn't. if i start all over to make the Arabic will this be fine? Are there detailed steps on how re-add Arabic into a site?

How does Drupal handle language?

I am planning a site that will be multilingual (starting with English/Japanese) and am wondering how Drupal handles languages. I know that Vbulletin uses a phrase based system which pulls actual display text from language xml files. Does/can Drupal do the same or similar? Thanks.

Language Switcher - Doesn't switch content

I succeeded in getting my primary links to work with 2 languages (English/Dutch).

Everything works fine, but when I click on the "About us" link in the menu, I get the English "About us" page. If I then hover across the "English" language selection I do see "h ttp://localhost/drupal/en/about" in the status bar. But when I roll over the "Dutch" I see "h ttp://localhost/drupal/nl/node/2".

Sign Language

Hi,

I am creating a bilangual website, which is both in a written language and a signed language.
Not any language module is supporting both textual and visual (flash) content.

Swedish translation characters ö, å, Ä = ?

Hi everyone,

for those who don't want to read my whole post here's my summary: basically the swedish characters ö, å, Ä are not working in my translation and are showing as a ? (question mark). if you can help or are interested read more please!

i've been with drupal for awhile now but i've only just delved into the world of translations!
My client who is swedish wants his site in swedish, so i got a copy of the latest swedish translation for drupal which is brilliant god knows what i would have done without it!! No problems there!

I have a few custom modules so i ran the extractor.php to get the .pot file, i looked through the file to check there are no errors and it all looks good! I mail it from to my client for translation (he used notepad to input the swedish versions of strings, saved the file and sent it back to me, could that have messed up the encoding?). He's done the translation into swedish that i uploaded through the locale module but all the references to the characters ö, å, Ä are replaced with a ? (question mark). It seems wierd to me as the swedish translation for the core drupal files works fine. i've searched everywhere, am i doing something wrong?? could the problem be caused by my client emailing me back the .po file??
