we're trying to translate only the interface of our drupal site to another language (menu's "click here to read more", etc – NOT content).
i started off with the assumption that all string that we stick through a t() function in our templates (we did this in anticipation of this translation effort) would be found as BLOB in the locale_source db table, but that does not seem to be the case.
I have hunted for a solution and am surprised I have not found it yet. I gave a presentation to a department at my university about using drupal as a mutilingual website detailing, well, university stuff. A question arose about switching the user interface language ONLY using a dropdown selection box. I did not have an adequate answer...DOH! My fault for not being better prepared. However, I assumed (yeah my bad) as locale.module offers multiple language capability for the UI, it would also offer a means to switch between them. Nope. Boy, was I surprised.
I made a french translation of my Drupal's 5.7 installation (including Ubercart 5.x-1.0-rc4 and a number of modules)
It is not made in the translation process described on the site (only one file), and I don't know where to
put it to make it available to other people.
As I spent only 3 afternoons on it, there may be some inexacts terms, but not very much of them.
I don't know either how to get a modules list (other than a screenshot) to give people information bout the translated modules.
I have made a site with two languages Greek and English. When I set Greek as the default language of my site I cannot login for the English interface of my site.Vice versa when I set English as the default language.
Do you have any idea?
