Translations

My site has two languages, English and Japanese

I created two separate menus of each and in the menu block setting page, I selected the appropriate language setting of each menu block so that japanese menu display only when view japanese content and so do english menu.

The default language is configured as English.

I created an English content first and then do the japanese translation thru the translation tab of the node edit form.
When I clicked the "add translation" operation, the english menu disappear.

I need to hide the admin url and want to make the admin part under ssl . I like to put the admin url like http://admin.mysite.com nor http://mysite.com/admin.

Is there any suggestion to get the thing like that ?

Here are details related to my drupal language setup.
On page "admin/settings/language/" various settings are as follows:-

1) List :: Number of languages = 2 (english and french) and default language is french.

2) Configure :: I have "language negotiation" option selected to "Path prefix only".

3) Multilingual system :: In the "Content selection" fieldset, option selected is "Current language and language neutral"

I am working on some multilingual project. I can't able to translate Drupal Error message and some of the msg. Below i am mentioning. If anybody find soln kindly get back to me. Thanks in advance.

i tried many time to translate views module ,when go to file -> new catalog from pot or even edit .po file and save
it give me this error :

/../../../.opt end-of-line within a string
msgmerge : found 1 fatal error

any suggestion ?

I am fail to manage to solve the use of drupal translations. It would be beneficial for me if u support wholeheartedly.
