Theme development

Hi, I'm new to Drupal... I have edit the standard theme bartik (change of colors) When I go to the site I see all the text is there but the theme is blank.. Can someone helpme with that?

I am developing a mobile first responsive web design using omega 4.x. But not sure how to test the download size, CSS files loaded (something like firebug) locally (http://localhost/mysite). I am using following sites for RWD tesing but it does not give download size, CSS files loaded etc..

I'm trying to change the theme of my Website..
But I don't know how can I change the color of the pages and other options like that..

This may be more related to the Zen theme but is there a CSS rule that relates only to the article contents and not the comments below it? There is an article tag but it doesn't include the article title too. I want a rule to wrap only the article title and its contents but can't figure out if there is one and if not how to create one in the template file as I'm not sure what parts exclude the comments.
