Its taken a while and a couple of attempts but we have finally created our first Drupal powered Flash CMS!!
The site still needs a lot of work, we are busy developing an intense custom views to get the Directory area right, and the webform as yet will not allow a direct communication between a flash based form and HTML equivalent, so for the time being this again links out to HTML site. If we can get this so a completed flash based form populates into the webform submissions table they we will have a winner.
Thanks to many folks here, we have made some progress on this site. We are still adding content, but we have the basic theme done with nearly 300 URLs in the sitemap. The theme started with bluemarine; but with lots of mods; we added a forth column and a nice header graphic, and more. We also took some ideas from the purple_beauty theme; so the site is a mashup of bluemarine, purple_beauty and my custom work.
I have recently teamed up with the VivaGreen.com crew. This is a very-cool feature-filled Drupal 5.2-based site that I feel will be appreciated by the Drupal community as well.
The fundamental concept is a directory for green and sustainable resources, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Please check it out. The group of us would love to hear some feedback from the Drupal community.
Darrow Wilderness Trip Camp, a program that sends campers into some of the most remote wilderness areas of northern Maine and the far north of Canada, has relaunched their site in Drupal 5.
Drupal was chosen as the platform for this project for two key reasons, flexibility from the design and code perspective and ease of content administration by novice users. The staff of Darrow needed a high quality CMS, and the flexibility of the theme system allowed us to exactly mimic the distinctive design of Darrow's static HTML site within a Drupal theme.
With the launching of a Drupal based site, the staff of Darrow can make changes to content without having to wait for the designer to code new pages for them and the designer can focus on creating the images that give the site its look and feel and continue to modify that look without the distraction of being responsible for all additions and modifications to the content.
