Show off your Drupal site

The members of the Chicago Technology Cooperative (site | drupal profile ) are pleased to announce the public release of Vocalo.org, a community-based media and social networking site that accompanies Chicago Public Radio's newest community radio station, Vocalo 89.5FM, proudly built with Drupal 5!

Vocalo takes traditional radio station websites to the next level by actively engaging listeners as members of the community. Besides just listening to an audio stream, Vocalo community members can be active content producers, uploading video, audio, and commentary to the site for possible inclusion on air, as well as real-time interaction with on-air personalities. In the short time between the limited beta release and the public release, the site has already turned into a thriving community of users sharing what's important to them, their city, and their world.

A lot of work went into creating this site, and we've really pushed Drupal to its limits in some respects:

I've finally completed my blog / portfolio , http://www.chronnus.com. I've been meaning to finish the site for awhile now but something always got in the way.

The site is built on Drupal 5.x, and uses the following modules : CCK, Views, Imagecache, Imagefield, Jquery_update, Nodeasblock, Pathauto, Simplemenu and a custom module for all custom functionality.

Based on a Drupal 5.x installation, Traveluptuous.com is a travel-related site with a blog, travel-related user reviews and photos, travel news (aggregator), and a points system, along with the incorporation of Viator and Tourcaster distributorship programs incorporated into the theme.

It's rather small, and a minimalist design.

Still on the to-do list is a seperate layout for the front-page, to get the logo more prominent.

Quite possibly the most fun you'll ever, ever have on a pair of skis or a snowboard.

Had quite a fun time building the site too. Personally (and this is just my opinion and I obviously may well be biased!) I think it's quite a nice example of drupal being used with a design which is not necessarily a 'CMS' style design and also a good example of how drupal can be used with small to medium sized businesses as a 'catalog' style site.

We've updated our site and rolled out a new theme in drupal. We've been using drupal for over a year now as the solution of choice for many of our client website needs, but we've only just got round to creating our own site in drupal. It's been busy here! We've started small on purpose, but the plan is to add blogs for all the team members and that sort of thing. Should be good!
