Show off your Drupal site

We recently went to a Drupal site and are very pleased. But as this is still new for us, we remain curious about other sites which might be using Drupal. Can anyone advise as to how I can determine whether a site is using Drupal, especially if it is not promoted as a Drupal site?

I am looking for Plugin which have features of controlling articles access on user level. For instance if there are two articles A1 and A2 then I would like User1 could not see A2. Is it possible in any existing Module??
