Post installation

I have read through the help doc that explains very nicely the Collaborative book. I want to set up a travel based site so I have a simple structure that cascade down from the country name. If that was all Drupal did I would be happy, and probably trying to write content.
but it does more!!

There are also stories and taxonomies. (http://drupal.org/node/6563) I can set up taxonomies and relate each of my story pages to these, but not only that I can also associate the taxonomies with book pages!!

I was just wondering if there is something over here able to convert throttle output into something like a server load meter. You know, something saying "Server load is xx% right now", either graphics or text...

Help for a newby please - I really need step by step simple help.

I have loaded the node_privacy_byrole module and get some lines of error message at the top of the page depending on who logs in. Example below is a failed login:

Is it possible to make the information on the news aggregator sources page (e.g. as http://drupal.site/aggregator/sources) appear in a node?

Anyone putting webcam images or even streaming video on drupal pages? I would like to toy with this for my family website but know little about webcam hardware/software.
