Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

List format in blocks (taxonomy_dhtml)

Trying to get a taxonomy-based menu/block working...

I set up a very small trial taxonomy with just a few terms, and then tried to use both "taxonomy_dhtml" and "Taxonomy Block" to display them.... Vocabulary "Topics" with terms "Family, Photos, Research, Teaching"

The problem that I have is that the taxonomy_dhtml block is formatted inconsistently with the other blocks and it looks funny..

See http://www.csse.uwa.edu.au/~gordon/drupal for my nascent test area.

Problem with create content->page

When I attempt to create an ordinary web page as apposed to a blog or forum topic, I see error messages at the top of the page :

warning: in_array(): Wrong datatype for second argument in /var/www/..../node.module on line 1326. (line number changed due to debg statements).

The cause appears to be that the global array element $conf['node_options_page'] is zero (null?) rather than an array.

I don't have the same problem for any of :

node/add text

Where do I find the below text descriptions and edit them?

(node/add)

EDIT: Choose the appropriate item from the list:

book page

EDIT: A book is a collaborative writing effort: users can collaborate writing the pages of the book, positioning the pages in the right order, and reviewing or modifying pages previously written. So when you have some information to share or when you read a page of the book and you didn't like it, or if you think a certain page could have been written better, you can do something about it.

Menus based on permissions

On the Navigation menu, by default you can't access the "create content" menu unless you have access to the types of content listed within. My question is: can you set something up like this for other menus? For example, if I have a menu that accesses content that only admins can use, can I make it so that only those with the right permissions can see it?

Where to hack user account settings?

I would like to do a minor hack, to change
"Your full name or your preferred username: only letters, numbers and spaces are allowed."
into
"this must be your real name. First name first. Surname name second."

on the 'edit user account' page at user/%uid/edit.

Which file do I find the code in?

I have managed to change the code in the 'create new account' page at user/register, but I can't find the code that generates the edit user account page.

Many thanks

Email is not being sent to new members

I'm testing Drupal on one site and I create a new account there is an info that the message has been sent to email address but so far message hasn't been delivered. First I entered Yahoo address and then Gmail address.

Does anyone know how long does it take that email for new members be delivered and what can be the reason if the message hasn't been delivered.

Is there some general patch for version 4.7 because there are also some problems with adding menu and menu items?

Thanks!
