I am in the process of builing a new sports site.
Using Drupal 4.7 with CVS version of Ecommerce.
I havn't got it all working yet [its my first foray into the Ecommerce module], but I have a few questions.
I would like to use the Ecommerce module to allow users sign up and pay for events.
This could be done as a simple shippable product, but for any event, I need more information from the Users.
In my case, I need a date of Birth, as a mandatory field.
There are no errors in my control panel and I can't hand type any navigation to get to admin or anywhere else. I just get a white screen. I backed up my database. What should I do?
I'm new to drupal and am working on modifying some templates to do things like create a home page.
Can I call my own objects from a drupal page? Is there a listing of objects that drupal uses so that I don't create a namesapce conflict?
I know that drupal uses a callback structure but does drupal uses objects. I can see in the syntax that there looks like some objects but just want to confirm.
It there a way to filter out the ecommerce product module so that it only applies to specified content types? I have a lot of content types and it seems they all have product tabs. I was wondering if any knew if there was a built in way of limiting the ecommerce products functionality?
Earlier this week, I installed 4.7 rc2 to a dev server, and have had a play around to prepare my new site.
My php knowledge is pretty close to zero, but I've edited a few files to modify / add functionality to the site: common.inc, node.module, (+ theme and contrib module files.)
Is having editing these core files going to give me a real headache?
Is there a way to upgrade to rc3, then the 4.7 release, then 4.7.1 etc, whilst retaining my modifications to these files?
Please don't give me grief, but if I've made a pig's ear of this, then do let me know.
