Post installation

There's something I just can't figure out even after reading everything concerning Taxonomy in the handbooks, and by looking at forum posts. The issue is pretty simple though, but somehow it just makes my head hurt.
So I've got a couple of categories which are divided in sub categories.
For example:
-Technology
-- Internet
-- Industry News
-- Gadgets
-Business
-- Economy
-- Finance

I have installed a theme and on that the top area should have links but there is a text appearing as "Primary" no links coming. Can you tell me how that can be solved either primary text be removed or links should appear as shown in the screen shot of the theme.

I would like to set left position for some modules if user is anonymous, but right if is autenthicated. How can I do it? I would not like to create additional block and set position and rights.... If it possible to do it in easy way?

I've got one Views problem that is kicking my butt. Can anyone help with this problem? It's the last view I need to roll out my site and I can't figure out how to do it.

I installed a test site on dir /new.

I know want to move it to another dir, how do i change the base url?

I tried to change it in the sites/default/settings file, but then received a 500 error.

Any tips?

I have done a search via the site and Google, but cannot find the answer.

I have 'Turned my site off' so thatno one can view it while I build it. I turned it off using the Admin feature. However, having logged out, I was expecting a username and password login still for the admin to login with later on (like there is with Xoops), but there isn't and now I can't log myself back in!
