Copying Drupal database changes to production site?

What is the easiest way to copy changes from a development instance of Drupal to a production one?

Update Modules - Tools to make things easier?

I recommend two great tools:
Backup and Migrate: http://drupal.org/project/backup_migrate which backs up the database.
Contrib Toggle: http://drupal.org/project/contrib_toggle which disables the contributed modules with one-click. (doesn't yet have 'enable' though!)

These have certainly made the process easier. But what else is there? Have you any recommendation? I though I read somewhere about another module to help automate the entire process?

I hope that an auto-updating system will be included in to Drupal 7.

can't run database update script

Since upgrading to 6.12, I can't run the database update script. I think the site may have been hacked while it was still 6.11,but I am not sure.

In any case, I have uploaded 6.12, restored the database and everything works except that the modules need new database schema and the update script won't run - it gives:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/bloom/public_html/update.php on line 666

I think the file only has 665 lines in it (if I copy it into excel, 665 is the last line) and it looks fine.

I can't edit any node

I'm sorry my english is not good.

I upgrade my drupal 5 to 6 and when I run update.php appear this:
