Set the page to offline mode
I disabled all modules running
Made a copy of the profile, settings.php, robots, themes, sites folder
Deleted old files/directories
Uploaded the new files from tar.gz
Cleared Cache from performance
Ran update on Modules page
Ran Cron afterwords from status reports page
- Reports Status says 6.17 still
- Checked system.module from module directory and it says 6.18
Can anyone let me know how they went about fixing this?
Checked distribution code for location.install, and it's the same as I uploaded. Re-installed it anyway, and this time got: "The update process was aborted prematurely while running update #6309 in location.module." Re-installed that component, tried update.php once more and it reverted to the line 1133 error above.
Any ideas anyone? Running out of time a bit now, so getting urgent...
I have my own shortened procedure for upgrading drupal minor versions. I want to share it with you in order to know if it is ok.
step 1: I instal the latest version in a new directory
step 2: I copy all the directory "sites" from the previous version
step 3: change the directory of the new version into the name of the old version.
That's it. The procedure is quick and simple. Is it ok?
Untarred the file, overwrote the existing files, ran update.php but the top line of the Status report reads 6.19 and the Drupal Core Update Status says 6.17 which flags it as a security error. What gives? Any help would be appreciated.
Hello All, I'm new to this. I inherited a site that wasn't updated for 1yr 6mo. I tried to upgrade from v6.1 to 6.19. I did everything including backing the entire site up. I followed downloading procedures of 6.19, putting the site on maintenance, changed to a default theme, proceeded to delete and upload files. Now I can't even login to the admin site. I proceeded to upload the backup files...still see nothing. Do I have to reinstall drupal? I'm soo frustrated because now the site is gone...
