Upgrading Drupal

Hey all,

Just did an upgrade from 6.17 to 6.19, and I went to re-enable my custom modules, and they don't show up in the admin panel. They are in sites/all/modules, and I've got the permissions set to 755, but no dice. Any suggestions?

I installed a handful of module updates and afterwards my Drupal gave me this error:

I have upgraded my site from Drupal 6.10 to 6.17.

After upgradation I cannot access other pages like "articles" on my site.

I have checked permissions, cleared my cache, rebuilt my theme registry and rebuilt my content access permission too.

Still a problem. It shows "Page not found" after every article I click.

Help Please.

Similar problem experienced by a few others:

1) Status report tells me to apply security updates
2) Backed up the system (thank the goddess!)
3) Followed the rest of the update instructions
4) After all the dust had settled, Status report tells me I'm still on 6.17
5) Repeat previous steps out of sheer bloody-mindedness
7) Read through the forums

Discovered that I, like some others here, have managed to get a "drupal-6.16" folder in my sites/all/modules folder. Like others I have no idea how the hell that got there.

Searched through the database and found the following in my system table:
