Upgrading Drupal

Hi, being very cautious with my module upgrades as I had some WSODs after upgrading some modules. My basic question is can we add more than one new module, more than one module upgrade, or mix thereof THEN run update.php? If I already have a couple of new modules (just 2 right now), but forgot to run update.php will I be OK in doing it now? I just have my new (thank God) Drupal install after the aforementioned mess of modules and do not want to mess this up. Thanks so so much for good guidelines.

Anybody having idea how to implement multi city support for drupal site ie, Contents should be varying(dynamic) according to the users city (city is traced based on IP address of the user).The current version is drupal 6.16.

I am going through the process of updating a number of modules and each one has gone through OK, until I reach Panels. I currently have v6.x-3.5 installed and am upgrading to v6.x-3.7.

After updating this module, my site simply disappears, every page loads blank.

Am I missing some vital step? Does another module need to be updated before this one for it to work?

My Drupal version is Commons v6.x-1.1.

Any help much appreciated.

Just did a "one Button" install Drupal 6.14 Network Solutions. Updates, poor mans cron worked, showed available updates. Updated poor mns cron, still worked. Updated Core to D6.19, problem starts:
Now cron runs, check for updates fails, just like my other D6.19 sites. "No update data available... Failed to fetch..."
I've seen lots of old posts on the subject, nothing current, first time I've isolated it to the core update. Tried the fsock open, url allow, shellpassthrough, nothing. Can't blame NS if it worked initially, or can I? HELP?!?!

I really like my theme on my drupal 5.x install but I am having problems with clean URL's so I think i need to upgrade to drupal 6.x but will my theme work out of the box so to speak or will I have to tweak the css to make it work?
