Upgrading Drupal

Is it possible to migrate the Forum (Advanced Forum) from one Drupal Installation to another one ?

I tried Node Export but it does not include the Forums (Taxonomy?)
I see all the Topics in content but its does not create the forums.

I did an Update from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7 a while ago but its all a bit messed up since the Update from 5 to 6 wasnt done right already. I would like to have a fresh Drupal 7 Installation and migrate all Blogs and Forumtopics to it (including files, but i dont mind moving them manual)

I'm moving Drupal6 from Windows Server 2003 to Ubuntu 10.4 LTS. These are the steps I followed so far:

1) Build Ubuntu Box
2) Install MySQL, Apache2, phpmyadmin
3) Export database from windows server
4) Zip up the drupal folder
5) Import the database to the linux server and copy the drupal folder over.

I can now view the drupal homepage perfectly, but if I click on any links, I get Not Found. The requested URL /faq was not found on this server.

I've tried the following:

When running the update.php script, I am receiving the following error:

PDOException: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user: '@localhost' (Using password: YES) in drupal_get_installed_schema_version() (line 151 of /includes/install.inc).

This is the third time I'm trying this upgrade from 6 to 7 and consistently failing to
get the update script to run. I've followed the instructions meticulously. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I have developed my site in Drupal. Now i am upgrading it to Drupal Version 7 . I need to upgrade my mysql version to 5.2.
My host is yahoo. And my Php Version is
PHP Version 5.2.12. And my sql server and client version is 4.1.14. How can i upgrade my Mysql versions. Is it possible to upgrade my mysql version using my control panel access.

A client’s website is currently using Drupal 5 and I am keen to ascertain an objective perspective on how much longer they can stay using Drupal 5 without incurring the following problems:

1. Difficulties with website function
2. Security risks/threats

As a Drupal novice it would be great to hear your views on this as they are keen to postpone an upgrade until later in the year.

A brief overview of the risks involved in staying with Drupal 5 and a timeline for the associated problems they can expect to experience would be much appreciated.

I have developed my site in drupal 6. Now am trying to upgrade the drupal version from 6 to 7.
I removed all the files in my site except the Sites folder. Then i uploaded extracted files from Drupal7 version. I ran update.php. Finally it shows the following issue..

PDOException: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1231 Variable 'sql_mode' can't be set to the value of 'TRADITIONAL' in drupal_get_installed_schema_version() (line 150 of /staging/includes/install.inc).

How can i fix this issue...
