Upgrading Drupal

Hi,

I am having 2 separate issues.

The first, most urgent one: I updated my website theme (corporate clean), and it fucked my website up. Ive tried restoring to backups, to no avail. All the formatting and the front page are set to default now...

Secondly, I tried upgrading to Drupal 7.14. I followed all the steps as I have done successfully in the past, but when I run the update.php, it says no installs are available, yet I still get messages saying I need to update!

I tried to upgrading D6 to D7, but i don't know where to start or what to do,
The most important thing in my website is my Forum that builds on the Forum Thread module, and another content type with CCK field.
I don't care about to move Users Permissions or my Store.

I'm a beginner so pls describe and give me a lot of details

I am new to Drupal and have spent the last two weeks studying / reading about Drupal 7 and its modules.

My aim is to build a website based on the Bartik theme that incorporates DrupalRooms.

I am developing the site using Drupal 7.14 on a Win7 SP1 64bit laptop running WAMP Server2.2 (Apache 2.4.2 (win64) / PHP 5.4.3 / myphpadmin 5.3.1)

suggestions not appearing after installing form auto-completion Drupal.
Like I typed "love" in the form, and I already configured the character-length is 2-char long, but I cannot retrieve suggestion data. However, if I clicked on search, there is one result about "love".

Am beginner in using CMS..,so I found trouble on how to install user.module that will enable building of registration form or how can I build registration form if there is any other way.Thank you for your help

I am running version 5 of drupal with views

I have used this to setup a custom content type - its a property website.

I have about 100 properties listed.

I want to upgrade to the latest version of drupal - what would be my safest/best way of doing this?

clean install with export and import or upgrade?
