Upgrading Drupal

I successfully completed the install of commerce kick starter, ran the upgrade the commerce modules, install went through to finish at the end I am getting blank page.. any one knows what is wrong??

I recently migrated a drupal installation but due to some error the settings.php file got erased.

I've left the $drupal_hash_salt value empty, assuming the fallback will be enough for now, but what should I do next? The settings.php comments state "If this variable is empty, a hash of the serialized database credentials will be used as a fallback salt."

Is leaving this value empty secure? Do I need to create a new salt value?

If so, besides resetting all user passwords what other areas of drupal would be affected?

I was checking my work website today and discovered that there were several things wrong:

1) The edited FCKeditor's customized toolbar was back to stock
2) When you click the edit button for pre-existing content, the body text box is blank (even in plain text mode). You click View and the text is there, but you can't see it at all in edit mode.
3) Custom breadcrumbs and Tokens are having an all out rage fight with error messages claiming that breadcrumbs is calling an array in instead of plain text in the Token module.

i have to update a drupal site runing in drupal 4.7.2 to drupal 7.
is it advisable to upgrade from 47.x t0 5.x and then to 6.x and then finally to 7.x or simply install drupal 7 and use node export module.plz give me some advise thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did an update last night from drupal 6.19 to drupal 6.26. I followed the directions provided by the upgrade.txt file and the tutorial provided by LearnByTheDrop. The update.php file had all green check marks at the end of the update process. But now my .htaccess file is missing and i cannot access my admin panels. Also the themes seem to be entirely disconnected, the website is nothing more than a CSS-less page of descending text. Was wondering if anybody had any advice on how to re-create the .htaccess file, and to get drupal to recognise the theme files.

Noob question. On my modules page, the newly installed tools seem to be always grayed out. What have I done wrong? Do I have to uninstall/reinstall something in order to use? Do I have too many things installed that perform the same task? See my image capture below:

I've been using the drupal7 essentials book by Johan Falk, but am now stalled.

Any help would be great.
