What's the trick here? In the zip file for Drupal 4.7.7 there's a file named "upgrade.txt" which contains what appear to be four simple things to do when upgrading to 4.7.7.
1. Backup your database and Drupal directory - especially your
configuration file in 'sites/default/settings.php'.
2. Log on as the user with user ID 1.
3. Remove all the old Drupal files then unpack the new Drupal
files into the directory that you run Drupal from.
4. Modify the new configuration file to make sure
it has the latest and correct information.
I must have botched my 4.7->5.2 upgrade. I just noticed that nothing appears under the content settings (input format, publishing options, etc.) when I try to add/edit a node. I've checked access, themes, content types, and input formats. I don't see anything wrong.
I created a clean 5.2 site and I would like to transfer all my audio content from my 4.7 installation to the 5.2 installation. I was hoping that by copying the files directory, adding the tables from my 4.7 site for audio and then enabling the audio modules in 5.2 would allow me to use my old audio content in 5.2. This produced a number of errors. Am I going about this wrong? How can I transfer all my audio files from 4.7 to my 5.2 site.
Hi,
I've been tasked with rescuing a drupal installation from a hosed server and getting it running on a new machine with FC7 and Drupal 5.2.
I believe the old one was a 5.1 installation.
I've been able to get the site up to the point that I can log in as admin and I'm no longer getting any errors. However, my site is completely un-themed. I've copied the old theme over to the new /themes directory, but it doesn't show up in the themes list in the admin suite. If I choose one of the default themes instead it doesn't take effect. I'm left with a very bare white site.
When I upgraded from 4.7.0 to 5.2 (and actually when I upgraded to 4.7.7 I got the same problem) when I click on the Create a new user link I get this error:
The requested URL /drupal/user/register was not found on this server.
I upgraded my drupal site from 4.7 to 5.1 last night. Everything went smoothly, except one thing. I cannot find the "access control" anywhere. It isn't under user management as I believe it should be. What could be the problem? Can anyone help?
I need to change some role settings, and am thus far unable to find it anywhere. I am wondering if it somehow got lost in the upgrade.
