Drupal 8.x

I am trying to add some interactivity to nodes and in the case of an image field, I have added a "manage pictures" link that supports translation.

To achieve this, I used Display Suite and the PHP text filter, and added token field with following content:

<a href="/node/[node:nid]/edit"><?php print t('Manage Pictures'); ?></a>

That displays ok and the string turns up in translations. Almost perfect.

Now I try to to make this field appear only for the node owner. Any ideas?

I have Drupal 8 up and running and I am looking to use the build in history.module core module to have a list of which user has read which content.

In the module overview (https://www.drupal.org/docs/8/core/modules/history/overview) the following is listed of how to use this module:

I am looking for a module that will format entries. Here are some examples:

- phone numbers entered as 4445551234 to be converted to 444-555-1234 or (444) 555-1234
- text entered as UPPERCASE to be changed to lowercase with 1st letter Capitalized
- other text formatting like i5896548 to be converted to I-589-6548

I have searched Google and Drupal site for a solution but haven't found any ready made modules, only lots of coding suggestions.
