I'm trying to install Drupal 8. I get stopped on the install with the error "The service definition "request" does not exist.". This occurs after "Choose profile". It happens with both choices Standard or Minimal.
This is with a local Kubuntu 12.10 Lamp setup. Currently D6 and D7 installs are setup and working and the D8 is setup the same.
Any ideas? Is there a special or better place to get help with Drupal 8?
I am new to Drupal and have just loaded the CMS on a server. When creating an article I can see the line of the Editor "nice" and at the bottom a section entitled "Image". It allows me to browse my computer and to easily upload a picture. If I create a basic page and if I want to do the same thing, this section "Image" is not there. Do I need to configure something in order to have this section "Image" when creating a basic page? Thanks, Manfred

Currently administrators are allowed to select from a list of installed themes. There is a need to be able to install and test a theme against existing content for appearance and configuration that does not change or appear as the active theme.
A "test" mode would allow the theme to be configured and tested without users knowing of it until selected as default by the administrator.
I am looking to stand up a self-hosted Drupal system here.
I will have in the vicinity of 1500-2000 site consumers at max saturation time, with approximately 100 people in the roles of authors, publishers and contributors, with approximately 30-40 of those as concurrent users.
We are currently running CF9 on a Win2K8R2 server, running a fairly flat file system. We have outgrown our current flat file CMS and looking for robustness and a greater degree of automation that can be accomplished with Drupal and the additional modules available.
