Hey.
I have been facing this same issue over 19 times now and seems there is no fix to be seen.
When i have started installing drupal with wamp i get it to the install point but after it has completed install i get "An AJAX HTTP error occurred. HTTP Result Code: 200" and it tells about timing exceeded, installer path things and after i get config part done it goes right way to same page as i was before i started install and this time it looks like this:
(WAMP before install: http://prntscr.com/34mgg1 )
I am long time Open Source user and server administrator and I want to offer for some big Drupal project really free hosting.
Reason why I am doing that - I need some references and make a good will from Drupal community as I've came from Joomla! community and now I can see that community as too commercial for me.
I got setuped environment where there is some nice components for speeding up your website without touching your code. That includes:
If you use the Drupal 8 'Extend' page to manage modules, and enable anything, or even just allow the default profile to turn things on for you (the usual case) the module checkboxes are disabled. You cannot turn 'optional' things off.
It's not due to it being required by a dependency or anything, the checkbox is simply locked on, with no explanation of why you can't use it. The checkbox is still there, taunting you with its permanently on status. You want to turn off "Comment" because you are not going to use it? Too bad sucker!
WFMU seeks to engage a firm or individual on a contract basis to act as Software Architect for its Audience Engine Project. Audience Engine is an open source platform and strategy which will provide digital distribution of audio, video and audience engagement tools fully integrated with social fundraising tools, to radio stations, journalists and digital libraries. The functional requirements for Audience Engine are based on WFMU’s existing platform which can be seen live at wfmu.org. None of WFMU's existing code base will be utilized in Audience Engine.
Hi everyone,
I work for a big company, and we're looking for a new solution to manage our intranet (20000+ users), and Drupal is in our scope.
Right now my biggest concern is how Drupal is able to manage a big hierarchy of users and subsites.
Our situtation in a few words : we have several departments, containing sub departments, the majority of users being affected to a sub department.
I have a personal project that I need to complete, and am looking to publish it in a month's time. The site will use minimal external modules (maybe 2, 3), and will be simple in terms of features, no forums or user registrations, etc. Just information pages.
The site would go online in a month, but as it is a personal project it can be maintained by myself very easily without causing additional costs etc.
