Drupal shop with limited product items and wait list

Hello, I need a simple Drupal 8 shop with 2 main functions:

- Limited number of product items for my product (digital goods, no shipping)
- A wait list: Customers can put themselves on a wait list when the product is sold out. They can be informed when the product is available again.

Can you help? Best modules for this simple shop? Thank you.

Configuration directory error

I have version 8.3.4 installed and I am trying to update some modules.

When I get a system report or run the database update script I get the following error message:

Configuration directory: sync
The directory sites/default/files/config_QY4nIc4LMKUCYPUCo2Ka0p1gJSMs77w3b1ANX_Lco2F2OGjjuXC4pLnp3ws6D3QEef3UeXBMYw/sync does not exist.

url wildcard redirects for D8?

Does anybody know of a method, plugin or other solution to set up wildcard redirects for Drupal 8? I know the Match Redirect module - but it hasn't been ported to D8 yet. I have quite a few taxonomy terms that are for backend use only - I've used pathauto to alias them all to redirect/[term:name] ... hoping I could then do a redirect to the home page, like so: /redirect/*

Or is there another way I could do this? (aside from .htaccess redirect?) I guess it's just morbid curiosity now.

Acquia Dev Desktop creates two 'sites' folders, 'default' and '*.dd' - Why, & What you should Know

Strangely, with each site creation using Acquia Dev Desktop (which is version 2 of Acquia Dev Desktop), it creates two folders within [Drupal-8-root]/sites.

"default", and "whatever.dd".
