Hi, I have a customer with a domain and site with someone else. Any thoughts on the easiest way to keep site live while we build the new one and how to do it. Normally, I'd just point domain, cpanel, mysql, install and build site. I don't know how to keep his present site live with it domain while I build new one. Thanks for any help you might have.
I`ve installed on the latest Drupal 8.x (8.4.2) Pathauto and Redirect: I`d like to be able to have my contents available only using the automatic path generated by Pathauto, but I can still reach all my nodes using both the alias created by pathauto and the usual node/id, wich is bad for SEO ( duplicate content ) and is confusing for the users.
In a lot of nodes I have links to other nodes in the form of node/id, those links should be redirected to the pathauto generated url, but they are not. Am I making some mistake?
lets say i have a content type called "books" and i created three taxonomy terms: "novel", "short story" and "novella".
I want to list all my books in a view and give the visitor an exposed filter to choose to list only the books which are tagged with "novel" or "short story" or "novella" or a combination of these tax terms.
I am trying to do this since some hours and its surprisingly difficult for me to find the solution for this.
I already added a filter to the view: "Content: Has taxonomy term(grouped)". But apparently i am missing something.
I have a drupal 8 site where i was built a Web Service and i want to use the HTTP Basic Auth, but when i am enabling this modul, then the drupal logoff my admin user and change the permission on my pages. Also after it the login is also not available. So everytime i need to use my backup. I have only the default user login methods on the drupal page, also i disabled all extension and tried just to allow only the http basic auth, but then i got the same error.
I would like to upload some self-created patches just to test them online at simplytest.me for my personal teaching purposes - testing my new Git and Drupal 8 skills. However, I would not like to spam any valid Drupal issue with my dummy patches.
