Before you start

Hello everybody,

I'm looking for a way to quickly built-up (biiip) ok, .... reload, to set-up point by point sort of preprint framework using Drupal.
Do you have any infos about doing this according to the required fonctionnality, or am i wrong even before starting, let me know if something sounds amazingly dumb.

Any informations would be appreciated, I'll devellop my needs here so you can reply on any specific point you've experienced before, i wont obviously ask for a complete how-to, just say for example " B-2: have a look on xxx module " or more specificly "C-3: look around sitename/wherever/whatever.php"

Main goals are :

A) Main Functions (Why Drupal was my choice to start)
1- Multilingual interface&content
2- User management and fine permission
3- Images and Files upload
4- Forum
5- Display a few public page for visitor and nothing else ( assuming that the site would be mostly for registered users)

B) Registred User 'homepage/profil' :
1- arrives on their homepage (or have a link on frontpage)
2- with their own langage for the interface, wich mean that there's a langage preference (per user)
3- Informations provided on it should be quite different than 'standard' (hometown, actual location, future location, ...many others)

Hi

I want to build a community site for around 10 users although it could increase! The site will allow users to edit a profile page about them and also upload photos. However, when they log in I want them to be able to only edit their profile page and also only their photos. I also want to scale back admin menus so all they see is these items on a menu. Is it possible with Drupal please?

- VERY SEO friendly
- Client Log In

- Easy Navigation

Hi everyone,

I'm reading all around about Drupal and seeing all its capacities and tought about doing my website with it. But first, and maybe not last, i have a few questions, if you could help me answer them.

If i use events and agenda to build my "going out" section, could i export to an other website a code so it can show "Events of the day" or "In your city", and that by making a call to my website. I would customize the embeded code depending on the needs of the person (different city, different type of music, ect).

I am building a web-based company and have decided on Drupal, and would like to implement it inexpensively *but professionally*. My thought is to buy a theme and do as much of the work myself (I have little to no programming exp), while paying a knowledgeable person an hourly to make sure I'm doing it right and help with install, etc.

Can someone describe how this might best work?
