I would like to build a website with the following functions:
Main function is a calendar. Users can create an account, log in and post new events in the calendar. The calendar is shown with different sorting possibilities (day, month, year) - like on groups.drupal.org/event.
I would like to add more fields to the post - like 'place' (where is it going on), 'artist' (who is performing) and so on.
I've been checking out various hosts, trying to find one that would be fast enough to handle Drupal well, because Servage is just too slow. I've found one I like the looks of, but for the server API, instead of Apache, it says "CGI/Fast CGI" -- is that not suitable for Drupal? Since it's not Apache, I don't see anything on the phpinfo page about mod-rewrite, since that's apparently an Apache thing.
I just landed upon drupal and am considering using it. I want to allow visitors to create profiles and upload their videos using Revver. I want the videos to be uploaded through my site, under my Revver account.
Also, I'm going to have a calendar section and allow people to add their events. I'm going to have to accept payments also.
Can Drupal do this?
I know they have forums and blogs, but how about the rest?
First off, my thanks to whomever has the time to answer this question. I've been looking for a solution for a few weeks, to no avail.
I am wanting to create a site dedicated to pen and paper gaming. Specifically, I want people to be able to fill out a character sheet on the site and then be able to save it so others can see it. So there would be fields for such things as Strength, Intelligence, Charisma, etc. The user could input numerals or dots in the fields of the character sheets as well as text for a character history.
Other features of importance:
(Forgive me if this has been asked already -- I did some searching and couldn't find anything.)
We have a fair-sized ecommerce site using an outsourced solution. I'm a big believer in doing things in-house and open source (have worked with Interchange, Bricolage, OTRS, et al.) and am exploring bringing everything in-house over the next year. It's been a while since I've shopped a solution and my friends "in the know" are all saying Drupal can do it.
I've been googling like crazy looking for answers in an attempt to create a photographer's website. The needs are
1) batch upload
2) private galleries
3) checkboxes for selecting specific gallery images & emailing
I know Drupal can handle #2, but #1 & 3 seem to be the domain of the Gallery plugin. Am I correct in seeing that this isn't possible in Drupal without a custom module or two involved?
