To set up a photo gallery I am considering to install Drupal 6.2, the latest release, and Gallery on the same website independently (apart from the links to each other) from each other (without bridge), to add some needed pages with Drupal to the photo gallery / website (which could be done with Gallery in a limited way if I see right), e.g. a contact, about, terms, prices, imprint page and so on.
I'm a freelance web designer and up until now I've always worked with a php/mysql CMS I developed myself. I'm happy with it but as I'm getting more work I'm lacking time to make necessary updates to the CMS. So I thought now would be the right time to delve into some open-source CMS's to see which would suit my clients best.
I've spent the last 3 evenings pooring over the documentation, installing and playing with Drupal 6.2 and I still can not tell if I'm going to be able to do what I want in Drupal. I have two separate websites that I need to build using a CMS. I've given links to my static html index page comp as well as a list of features/modules that I need. If anyone who is familiar with Drupal could take the time to let me know if this is all possible with Drupal and if so, tell me which modules you recommend.
Also - i noticed a lot of modules aren't updated for 6.x - do you recommend installing 5.x for now?
