Hello,

my name is Alex, I am from Vienna and new to Drupal.

First I apologize myself for not properly using the search-function of the forums, but to my defense i want to say, that most of the topics in this forums category really have a bad topic name ("i have a question"), and second, many things in Drupal seem to have a different name than in other CMS, or said in another way, every CMS uses its own terminology.

So I actually had no clue what I really should search for :)

Can I do this with drupal :

1. Multi page articles with TOC
2. Listing paging
3. Advanced survey (questioner ), multi type of questions, questions based on selected answer, collecting point per answer, viewing custom result at the end based on the points or the answers.
4. Business directory, multi categories & sub, custom fields, a company may have sub pages, images, articles, news, events, top company, top visited, companies list paging, .. ect.
5. theme per section or category.
6. support AJAX.

I am designing website that will have multiple authors, and each of them will be in charge of one page/section. In Durpal, is it possible to give a user permission to create and edit content on a page or section, without letting them do so on the rest of the site?

I'm an advanced Joomla user but there's one thing I can't do with Joomla. Here's my question:

My website will have normal registered users who will be able to see all the content in the site. What I want is to create different categories for the content and I want to assign particular users for these categories as admins. They will be responsible ONLY for the contents in that category and nothing else.

Can I do this using Drupal??

before i use this program I have a few questions...

I just tride the program joomla and did not like it and I intalled a server with it called xxampp.

can i use the server program XAMPp with this content system? like could I download the file unzip the file, make a folder in the htdocs folder called drupal and unzip the file into into the folder and start the installaion?

and if I can do it can I do it the way I said?

Hi i am new to drupal and would like to know a little more about what it can do for me.
I am a webmaster that hosts free phpbb3 forums and free blogs, i was using wordpress mu for hosting my users blogs, untill i found out how unstable and insecure it was. I would like to know if i could use drupal for a similar purpose.

I would like to have a main site that users can visit then sign up for a free blog/site of there own is this what drupal does?
