Before you start

I'm looking to see if anyone has a meetup feature / module for drupal calendaring where users can say yes / no / maybe to attending events (public or private) and collect fees as needed.

Part of it too is to see the responsiveness from a community as I look at Joomla, Drupal and DotNetNuke (who has a feature like the one I'm looking for).

So far my posts have been avoided like the plague so I'll try one last time before abandoning all hope...

Hello all,

I maintain an events calendar for a riding group.

Some of the events are members only, some allow guests, some are formal and pre-paid.

I'm looking for something that would make the calendar more interactive for our members - when I post events people will receive a notice, have the ability to say yes/no/tentative to let us know if they will be there or not.

I think meetup.com is a great example - I'm looking for something like that but on a smaller, single org scale.

I know that blocks and menu items are sortable just by dragging (in 6.x), but if you have two or more pieces of content published to the same page, say the front page, are these individual pieces able to be sorted in whatever order you want?

If not, is there a way to override this on the first page? Would one solution be to just setup a bunch of blocks on the first page and put your content in those individual blocks?

I just uploaded the contented7 theme and it would not let me click on any links. and the main page was a white page. I did the theme fix on drupals doc tab so it would go back to the garland them:

I got this error on the main page that says:

modules/category/wrappers/taxonomy/taxonomy.module on line 44

I am not sure what I should be doing here. is it safe to assume to just reinstall the taxonomy module?

I've been researching Drupal a bit and think it will work, but I want to get some additional feedback on my idea and make sure Drupal is what I want.

I want to create a Beach rating system, where people can go to the site and review what others have said about a particular beach. Each listing will have a rating system, and users can click on a 5 star system to vote (AJAX..no new pages, no page refresh). Users will also have the ability to comment on that beach with their experience, pros and cons, etc.
